Fexcel Interfacing is a generic program which manipulates data from different sources such as text output from a financial application (reports), Excel XLS files, or SQL tables, mapping them using translation tables, reformatting the input (for example the date format) and converting the values using user definable formula. It covers number of different scenarios, such as:
- converting output reports into import tables, for example,
Oracle Open Interface
- converting one set of X-SQL tables into another set of X-SQL tables
- converting relational databases from DBASE, Paradox to Oracle
In implementations such as one time Data Migration, to overnight scheduled data extraction from one source-feeding table to another, Fexcel Interfacing provides a way to accomplish just about any data manupulation necessary.
Case Study:
In the scope of its fleet management solution, Global River Cruises installed Fexcel Interfacing to better integrate financial data amongst its fleets of boats. Fexcel Interfacing is able to consolidate data from Fidelio Office and Micros POS, post it via web to its Headquarters in Basel, and then store it in a Fexcel Database. The data is then ready to be used in automatically creating reports using other Fexcel modules from the Fexcel product line. |
